Solo Travel & Retirement Planning: Where to go? How to Get There?

As a solo nomad, travel planning takes about 40% of my time. If you’re organized, like to plan and can make informed decisions - you’d love it too. The luxury of time is just one benefit of traveling in retirement.

After seven months of house/pet sitting in California, I will sail from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires in December. Honestly, don’t knock cruising until you’ve tried it. After many months of taking care of pets and homes, cruising allows me to relax and while I visit different cities, countries and a continent I’ve never seen.

Have you been to South America? Or Antarctica?
Please share your experience and suggestions in the comments!

This is a 34 day cruise on the Sapphire Princess. I love long cruises for the travel and you get to know your fellow passengers. I’m excited because some of my friends from the sail across the Pacific will be on board. I love meeting new people and you don’t feel so solo when cruising. Many of us have stayed in touch planning and sharing our travel plans. I’m looking forward to reconnecting!

More on travel planning, cruise roll calls, cruising hacks and count down to the sail away party in the next post.
